In early 2014, QCI Asset Management launched the QCI Balanced Fund (ticker: QCIBX)™ , a mutual fund that invests in a broad mix of high-quality stocks, bonds, and money funds. The QCI Balanced Fund provides investors with the opportunity to easily invest in a high-quality, balanced account. Our professional managers will allocate money opportunistically between asset classes, taking into consideration market fluctuations, with the goal of balancing investors’ needs for current income with their desire for long-term principal growth.
“With today’s increasingly complex markets, choosing the correct asset allocation is a battle often lost by the investing public. For more than 30 years, our investment team has successfully navigated market cycles, reducing risk when the markets are ‘overbought’ and increasing risk exposure at opportunistic times when the market becomes ‘oversold,’” said H. Edward Shill, CFA, Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager of the QCI Balanced Fund. “Until now, QCI has not served the mutual fund market place, focusing exclusively on separately managed accounts. With the new Fund, we will be able to offer our product to a broader market place that incorporates our long-standing, successful investment philosophy.”
Equity selection is based on QCI analysts’ recommendations driven by QCI’s fundamental research. QCI’s research methodology focuses on “bottom-up” analysis of each company and issuer, reviewing specific factors such as relative valuation to other securities or sectors; financial fundamentals and relative strength; recent and historical earnings growth results; sustainable competitive advantage within markets or sectors; and strategic positioning of the company or issuer relative to its peers. QCI also examines “top-down” sector and industry cyclical trends. Equity investments will consist primarily of large and mid-capitalization companies.
